Changed $table_prefix to $wpdb->prefix to make it run in WP 2.8. So far so good. Get tideplug version 0.4 .

This is a WordPress plugin (so far tested only on WP 1.5.2) that uses tide prediction data output from XTide and integrates it into a WordPress installation in order to allow users of your blog access to tide tables.

This is an early beta, lots of improvements to the code and the CSS can be done. With a little work it can be adapted to other PHP systems (Drupal, Mambo, etc.). There are lots of possibilities, someone suggested getting this in an RSS feed, for example.

This program is software libre, published under the GPL.

Requirements

A sample tide data file is included in the download, but you will need a working install of XTide (or a friend with one) to make text files with tide predictions for your preferred locations. XTide is available for Unix and non-unix (including Windows) platforms. This plugin has so far been tested only with output from a Linux installation.

I suggest you use a file with no more than two years of tide data, otherwise your WP database will become too big.
